A few things going on this weekend 5/7-5/7

A tiny reminder, my little painting of Church will be in the GIANT Stephen King themed group show opening Friday, 5/5 at Gallery 1988: LA.

Spoke Art’s Tondo show opens up Saturday night, 5/6, and it promises to be a good one! My piece is the upper left, I included just a few favorites, clockwise from upper right: Kevin Earl Taylor, Matt Ritchie, and Caitlin McCormack. You can check out all the pieces at here. Here’s a closer look at my piece, Bailey, below.

I will have a selection of prints, paintings, and T-shirts at my booth at this year’s Howeird Street festival. There will be live painting, art exhibitions, and an interactive booth by the Museum of Craft and Design. The Art Alley section of the fair is on Tehama Street between First and Second Streets.

A couple years ago I did a label for the wonderful people at Gigantic Brewing. It was for their Saboteur Baltic Porter, man that was delicious.

This weekend they are celebrating their 5 year anniversary. If you’re in Portland, stop by the tap room, grab a beer, and check out a show of all the artists who have contributed to their labels over the years. Pieces by Ron English, Ferris Plock, A.J. Fosik, Tara McPherson, Jay Howell, Ben Venom, Dave MacDowell, Ben Walker, Skinner, and Rob Reger, and myself, just to name a few, will be on display.
Have a great weekend!
